If you think you're having a bad day, please spare a thought for Douglas Moreton who flew all the way over from Bristol to Russia to watch England only to realise he had left his ticket back in a drawer at home.
Oh mate.

Before the game, a desperate Douglas bumped into ITV News editor Dan Howells and explained his sad situation. Dan felt for the poor fella and joined the online-search to find him a ticket in time for today's game.
Yesterday, lovely Dan tweeted: "This is Douglas. He was at our hotel in Volgograd. We've just bumped into him in Nizhny Novgorod & he's realised he's left his match tickets in the drawer at home in Bristol. If anyone's got a spare let me know."
He then tweeted a follow-up to say that a ticket had been found, and all looked well for our man Douglas.

But, with still no word on Douglas' whereabouts, Dan wrote a follow-up to his follow-up in which he said: "Not long left now people. We've got Douglas a ticket but urgently need to find him. If you clock him, tell him to get to his hotel reception, pronto." To help the efforts to track him down, he also included a photo.
However, in an even crueler twist of fate, Dan wasn't able to find him to hand over the ticket in time. How unlucky can one man be?
In a final post on the matter, Dan wrote: "I'm afraid he only got back to his hotel 40 mins before kickoff. Couldn't get to the stadium in time to pick the ticket up."

As if that wasn't bad enough, the game he missed - today's match against Panama - turned out to be an absolute stormer for England as they thrashed Panama 6-1.
Hard lines, pal. But there's still time for Douglas to see England play, presuming he can find another generous soul with a spare, because today's result means England are through to the semis. It's coming home, where Douglas ticket eagerly awaits.
