Man 'cries with laughter' over teeth after being convinced to get 'whiter than white' veneers

Nathaniel travelled to Turkey to get his teeth done

A talent agent who travelled to Turkey to have his teeth done was left crying with laughter after seeing his brand new pearly whites glowing under UV light.

When it comes to teeth whitening, three things can happen: One; nothing, as often seems to be the case with toothpastes purporting their ability to transform your teeth. Two; your teeth actually do get reasonably more white, but not alarmingly so. Three; Ross from Friends.

It was this latter outcome that TikTok user Nathaniel found himself being compared to after showing off the work he'd had done on his teeth in a video shared online earlier this month.

I probably don't need to point out what's happened, as Nathaniel's glowing mouth in the video says it all. Though thankfully they don't look quite as alarming in daylight, the UV light glaring on a night out made his teeth shine like a beacon, causing Nathaniel to start 'crying with laughter'.

Alongside the video, he wrote: "Tell me you've been to Turkey without telling me you've been to Turkey."

Nathaniel's TikTok has racked up nearly five million views over the last few days, but he's actually been living with his bright veneers since October 2020, when he travelled to Turkey to get his teeth done.

The 33-year-old planned to get 24 porcelain veneers in a 'natural white' colour, but his mum and his friend persuaded him to go 'whiter than white'.

Nathaniel loved the result as he walked around the hotel complex in Turkey as 'everyone had the same teeth' as him, but when he got home he realised that was no longer the case.

He was left crying with laughter when he saw them under UV light, saying he 'saw peoples trainers and tops all lit up and thought, 'I’m going to film to see if my teeth do the same', so I closed my mouth ran to the dance floor and hit record'.

Speaking to LADbible, Nathaniel continued: "I’m still shocked at them now to be honest, they always surprise me by glowing at the most random of times."

Many TikTokers responded to Nathaniel's video to share their thoughts on his teeth, with some joking that they were 'brighter than [their] future'.

"Ok Ross Geller," another wrote.

The talent agent said some people 'live for' his teeth and tell him 'how amazing they are', while others feel the need to point out 'how white they are', as if Nathaniel isn't aware.

"It’s not for everyone but people buy new cars, the latest phones and gadgets…. I buy teeth," he explained.

His glowing teeth haven't put him off whitening and Nathaniel has said he will 'definitely get them done again', though he'll probably opt for 'a more natural shade' in the future.
