At this stage we feel like we've heard about this so-called 'outdoor summer' a million times. More often than not it's been talked about in an air of cynicism after weeks of growing unrest between Gardaí and the public in our country's capital.

Nevertheless, despite how difficult the government seem to make it at times... it really does make sense to try and socialise outdoors as much as possible this summer. And it doesn't get more outdoors than a weekend sleeping underneath the stars, right?

Summer Glamp is a luxury glamping village located just outside of Wexford Town that has arrived to give you that festival feeling in lieu of there, once again, being seemingly no festivals to speak of in Ireland this summer.

Complete with bell tents which sleep up to six people, festival style food trucks and a large outdoor bar area, Summer Glamp is a pop-up camping experience that will attempt to fill the hole left by a weekend sloshing around Stradbally or the grounds of Curraghmore House should some of our most beloved festivals be forced to succumb to extended COVID-19 restrictions.

Other amenities to be found at Summer Glamp will include outdoor cinema screenings, woodfired hot tubs and a music experience called Summer Glamp FM which will see special guest DJs curate the soundtrack to your weekend, streamed online and all over the campsite. Once live music and dancing is allowed Summer Glamp promises that will all be in order too.

There are also mid-week packages available which cater especially for families with kids' movies screenings and a strict 10pm curfew to ensure everyone is sufficiently well-rested ahead of a day of frolicking outdoors or perhaps enjoying some of the nearby sights such as the Irish National Heritage Park, Hook Lighthouse or the Dunbrody Famine Ship.

With the campsite set across 44 acres of land overlooking the River Slaney, you can look forward to waking up to panoramic views of the gently rolling countryside hills - an unbeatable hangover cure, we're sure.

To browse the different packages available and book your bell tent for once Summer Glamp opens on July 2nd simply visit the official website here. In the meantime, why not salivate over what lies ahead by watching this drone-shot promo video below.
