Tinder dates are a minefield. Aside from the usual of 'do they look like their profile picture?' and 'what if they are a total weirdo', you then actually have to get along with the person.

And it could all go disastrously wrong if they throw a poo, which then gets stuck, out of your window, which in turn causes them to get stuck - yes, really.

One girl actually had a successful Tinder date though, when she wanted someone to come skydiving with her.

Emma Vowell, from Indianapolis, was left with two tickets for the thrill-seeking opportunity after she split from her now ex-boyfriend.

The former couple split up five days before his birthday, on September 10, which left her with no option but to find another partner to share the tickets with.

The 19-year-old originally tried to return the tickets but found them to be non-refundable. So, in style, she set up a Tinder profile asking for a date for the day.

Her profile read: "Interesting story, my ex broke up with me the week of his birthday, so now I awkwardly have 2 skydiving tickets about the Chicago skyline that expire in November.

"Deadass just looking for a hot guy to go with instead. Zero percent of me wants to hook up with you."

Emma told Buzzfeed: "I was like I want to go skydiving anyway, so why let these go to waste."

Adding to Metro, she said: "I threw it into my Tinder bio and got tons of responses. You suddenly become very popular when someone hears 'free skydiving'."

Among the thousands of responses was Austin Bates. A 22-year-old who joked about sending his CV.

Emma's response was to 'attach a cover letter while you're at it' - and guess what? He did.

Emma tweeted his response, which has since gone viral.

The cover letter read: "If you are looking for an attractive guy to go skydiving with, who understands that it'll be a purely platonic evening then look no further."

Austin, an Army Reserve, added: "Upon graduating in December... I will be stationed in either Hawaii or Germany, so there is little risk to you of me continually harassing you."

He offered to pay her back for the tickets by giving her lifts to lecturers, bars, and exams for a whole week.

But that's not all he chucked in. He also included her the chance to walk his one-year-old German shepherd/husky mix, as well as one-on-one personal training sessions and an 'interview'.

Emma told Metro: "When I read it, I laughed so hard, but we actually have a lot in common."

She texted him back saying: "Upon review I have decided that you are the most dedicated applicant, and for that reason you deserve the free ticket."

The skydive will happen on October 28- I wonder, despite neither wanting anything serious, if they will be 'falling' for each other then.
