After nearly an entire decade of managing to remain anonymous, the man behind the 10 Guy meme has come forward. He's a lad called Connor Sinclair:
The meme came to light back in November of 2011 when a picture of a rather red-faced young man looking slightly worse for wear appeared on Reddit.

The image was posted to the marijuana enthusiast r/trees subreddit titled: "Being at a [10] is not always pretty."
Revealing his identity for the first time, Connor uploaded a video on to his dedicated YouTube channel where he says: "Hello, I am Connor - aka 10 Guy, aka Stoner Stanley, aka Really High Guy."
He then goes on to introduce himself in Español... aka Spanish. Before adding: "It's been 10 years of 10 Guy, a decade of being a meme online.

"I thought now would be a perfect time to come forward and maybe give you a bit of a behind the scenes look of the man behind the meme.
"After all I wouldn't be doing this at all if it wasn't for the internet sharing everything so I thought it would be a great thing to do."
Connor went on to plug his social media platforms before telling followers: "There's plenty more to come in the future, lots of exciting things."

Commenting on the video, one person wrote: "I always thought it was Quentin Tarantino," to which 10 Guy replied: "I get that all the time!"
Another fan wrote: "When the world needed him most, he returned."
Speaking to Knowyourmeme, Connor said: "Honestly I never thought it would have the staying power it does.

"I've had plenty of offers for promotions, from board games to a snack food brand.
"I've never gone through with them because I didn't think people would care, and it felt a bit disingenuous almost? The meme belongs to everyone who shared it, liked it, etc.
"I just happen to be the guy with the sweaty face and the glazed expression who went viral. But now feels like a good time to do it. As you said, a decade, 10 years of 10 guy. It just felt right.
"Of course, the hype around NFTs is a large part of that but the timing just felt perfect."
