A man has shown that lockdown doesn't mean you have to ditch the dating game - you just have to get a bit creative.

Jeremy Cohen, 28, from New York, spotted a woman dancing on the rooftop of the building cross from his and enlisted the help of a drone to shoot his shot.

The photographer at first waved and said, 'hi', before writing down his number and taping it to a drone which he then flew over to her.

And his plan worked, the woman, whose name is Tori, text back and the pair have even had a virtual date. Romance in 2020, eh?

Sharing the first clip, Jeremy wrote: "I can't believe this actually worked and yes this is a real story."

In a second clip he can be seen getting ready for his date, before stepping out onto his balcony where a table is set up for dinner for one and over on Tori's rooftop there's a similar set up.

The pair then enjoy their respective meals while taking part in a video chat and getting to know one another.

But Jeremy didn't stop there in his quest to win Tori's heart - he bought himself a giant zorb-ball, hopped in and surprised her at home.

The pair went for a walk and got chatting - there's one moment where it looks like things might get hairy when the police stop the couple, however, they simply recognised him from an appearance he made on TV due to his viral video.

In his most recent post, Jeremy has said he's already thinking about what he can do next.

Jeremy's original tweet has racked up a whopping 395,000 'likes', more than 80,000 retweets and hundreds of comments from people rooting for the pair.

Jeremy used his new-found viral fame to promote a couple of US homeless charities, posting: "So I went kinda viral today but there's a real virus that is actually affecting a lot of people's lives sooo while I try to figure out how to have an virtual date with this girl here's a few ways you can help: 1) Helpmainstreet.com 2) Feedingamerica.com."
