It feels like we can't go a day without a viral trend emerging, but this could be one of the roughest ones yet. People are filming themselves eating cereal, but not out of a bowl. Oh no - they're scoffing the breakfast treat out of other people's mouths. Watch:
Tik Tok, the home of the weirder internet challenges, is awash with videos of people lying on their backs and having cereal and milk poured into their mouths.

It takes two to complete the #cerealchallenge. The first person is the 'bowl', then the second person - if the 'bowl' manages to get that far without spitting it all out - eats the cereal out of their friend/partner's mouth.
It can't just be me that finds the thought of eating saliva-infused milk a bit disgusting, can it?
In the video above, you can see the messy consequences of what happens when it goes wrong - two lads show us in reverse what happens when the challenge doesn't go according to plan.
The second couple however, manage to absolutely smash it - even though it looks like their attempt could fall apart at any given time.

People have even got to the point of setting up their rooms like they're about to commit a terrible crime, with bin bags all over the floor to protect their homes from the dairy.
Here are a few more examples, if you're still getting your head around the premise of this grossest of challenges:

It was created by trained gymnast Jax Kranitz, who shared her video online - it's since been viewed more than a quarter of a million times.

She shared her efforts on Instagram with the caption: "New flex challenge??? Tag a friend that you think can do this."
It looks less than comfortable, and it's not clear whether a human should be able to move their legs like that.
Since she shared the video, her 80,000 followers have been registering their surprise at the level of flexibility that she has.
What will they think of next?
