Holiday resorts are a different world, with their own unique set of rules - it's perfectly acceptable to knock back a beer at 9am, it's fine to eat nothing but crisps for three days, no one cares if you spend all day wearing nothing but your swimsuit.

Having said all that, there are some things that will still get you a few odd glances, for example, shaving your legs in the hotel pool. Yup. People tend to have pretty strong feelings about that.

In the weird clip, which was shared to Reddit by user screwsausage and filmed in Florida, the woman can be seen shaving her legs beside the pool while kids are playing about in front of her. She seemingly doesn't care who sees her de-fuzzing, even cleaning it off in the pool water.

She's going to have razor burn, too, shaving like that without any gel. I think she may come to regret this for more than one reason, is what I'm saying.

Still, if she goes for a swim later, with her hair-free legs she'll have really reduced drag in that pool and might even be on for a PB.

After the clip appeared on Reddit, it was quickly flooded with comments from people who were keen to share their own stories of gross things they'd seen happen in a pool - it wasn't for the faint hearted, with one commenting to say that he'd seen everything from pooping to someone 'bust a nut watching an aerobics class', lovely.

Another wrote to say: "Imagine the inadvertent gulp of water that sometimes happens when you're swimming...with all the shaved hair in it." Jesus wept. A bit like when you don't peel a kiwi fruit properly and get a mouthful of fuzz.

One commenter summed it up best by saying: "I used to work at a public pool and for whatever reason they attract the worst of humanity. I would never swim in a public pool after that experience."

When you think of it, a pool is basically just a massive communal bathtub, isn't it? Anyway, enjoy your next pool-side trip.
