A Domino's fan has popped the question to his girlfriend with an extra special pizza delivery.

Adam Eaglefield proposed to his girlfriend Rebecca Woodall on 13 February with what looks like a ham and pineapple pizza - only the ham was arranged in the shape of a question mark, with a very special question written on the underside of the lid.

Although a pizza might seem a little unconventional, Adam decided that it would be perfect considering the pair shared a pizza during their first date in September 2017.

The couple have then been ordering from the same takeaway since they moved to Bracknell, Berkshire, in April 2018. So much so that the team were more than happy to make Adam's cheesy proposal plans a reality.

When it came to the big day, Rebecca got a surprise when she lifted the lid to find a message on the inside of the cardboard which read: "Rebecca, will you marry me?"

She then turned around to find Adam on one knee behind her, holding a ring.

Since getting engaged, Adam said: "Rebecca and I enjoyed our first date over a slice of Pepperoni Passion, so I really wanted to include Domino's in my proposal.

"I'm thrilled the team were so supportive and able to make this special occasion even more personal to us, and of course, Rebecca said yes as a result."

Speaking on behalf of Domino's, Jarnail Singh, the store manager for the Bracknell branch, said: "We're pleased we could help Adam turn his perfect pizza proposal into a reality and make it a dough-lightful moment for them both to share."

It's not unusual for people to incorporate an important part of their lives into proposals and weddings. Take this Russian lieutenant for example. He kept things on brand by popping the question with 16 military tanks in the shape of a heart.

Denis Kazantsev had managed to get the collection of T-72B2 tanks into a heart formation at the Alyabino training ground near Moscow on Thursday 13 February.

Russian TV channels - including Zvezda, owned by the Russian Defence Ministry - were there to capture the moment on camera.

The footage, which was released by the Russian Ministry of Defence on Valentine's Day, shows Kazantsev guiding his girlfriend Alexandra Kopytova into the centre of the tank-heart as she keeps her eyes closed.

He then gets down on one knee and proposes, holding out a bunch of roses. Telling her how much they've been through together as a couple, Kazantsev says: "That is why I want to create a family with you and to live a happy long life together. Marry me?"

Of course she said yes to him, just like Rebecca did when faced with her pizza. Congratulations to both couples.
