A woman who had recently lost her husband was left somewhat red-faced after she realised that she'd been piping the sounds of pornography into her neighbour's home whilst she was - let's say- relieving the pressure.
Check out her bizarre story here.
Comedian and podcaster Tawny Platis found that her 'adult content' that she was watching wasn't making any noise - in her house at least - and kept on turning the volume up to figure out what was wrong.
Eventually, she realised that it was actually on, just in her neighbour's house next door. Somehow her device had connected to their Bluetooth, creating an unfathomably awkward situation for her.
Luckily, she's not too bothered about it, and even admitted to sending them a few more unsolicited communications.
As she says, it's not always adult content, but it's usually adult content.
Explaining herself in a TikTok video, Tawny - who hosts the Death is Hilarious podcast - said: "In the Spring of 2020 I was watching a lot of adult content because my super-hot husband died in November 2019 and I was unable to really 'wid-hoe' [sic] because if I was gonna catch some d***, I was probably also gonna catch some Covid."
"So, one fine afternoon I'm trying to enjoy a video of my choosing and I'm finding that the sound isn't working.
"I blast it, crank the volume up all the way, still didn't hear anything - weird."
She continued: "Until, I hear it blasting from my neighbour's speaker.
"What had happened was that for some godforsaken reason my phone connected to the Bluetooth speaker in my neighbour's apartment and now the entire complex knows what I'm into.
That would normally be enough to put anyone off for life, but not Tawny.
She added: "Because I'm such a goddamn sweetheart, I started doing it on purpose.
"It wasn't always adult content, but it was usually adult content."
This seems to be pretty on brand for Tawny, whose podcast discusses not only her dark sense of humour, but also her experience of grief after the death of her husband.
Speaking about her podcast, she explained: "My husband and I both enjoyed dark humour.
"It was a coping mechanism for us in many areas of our life and we leaned on it quite a bit in the last year of his life when he was frequently hospitalized for weeks or months at a time.
"We also worked on a comedy podcast we created together called The Dirty Bits. I wasn't really surprised that this is immediately where my head went and I don't think my husband would have been surprised either."
Death Is Hilarious is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, IHeartRadio, and most podcast apps.
