Woman Accidentally Swallows AirPod But Voice Notes Still Worked

This is the moment a woman realised she'd swallowed her AirPod instead of an ibuprofen tablet:

Carli B posted the clip on to TikTok (@iamcarliiib) of herself sobbing into the camera and wondering what her next steps were.

She explained how the AirPod was unexpectedly still connected, despite now being in her stomach (or somewhere nearby) and when it came to sending a voice note to her friend, it had actually recorded from inside her body (which you can hear in the video above).

Carli, 27, explained in her original video: "I ate my f****** left AirPod. I was crawling into bed and had an ibuprofen 800 in one hand and my f****** AirPod in the other."

She explained how she was going to put the earphone into its case, but as she threw what she thought was the tablet back and drank some water, it quickly dawned on her that she'd actually swallowed the AirPod... now fondly known as 'stomachPod'.

Carli, from Boston, USA, tried to vomit the device back up and said she was 'losing her mind'. She went on to have an X-ray and has now 'passed' the AirPod.

Giving an update to her worried followers, she explained: "I had an X-ray done a few hours ago and it revealed that the AirPod had passed.

"I had a feeling that it had but I just wanted to make sure."

She then went on to explain that the stomachPod was 'last seen' at 3.50am in Somerville, Boston, which is the time she estimates that it would have run out of battery.

In the update, she went on to say: "I did not retrieve it but I know that it's passed and I know that it was in my stomach and no longer is and I know this from a very hilarious way.

"Before I disconnected the AirPod from my phone I played the 'find my AirPod' sound and faintly heard it from my stomach.

"So here is where I sent my friend a voice memo about how I ate my AirPod and he couldn't hear it, even after he stepped outside, because it was in my stomach.

"I was unaware that it was still connected because my other AirPod was in its case, not connected to my phone.

"But the stomach pod was indeed connected and recording."

She added: "It is honestly crazy enough that I am going viral on the Internet for doing something dumb."

Glad we could be of assistance.
