Women Get Tattoos Of Seagull And Gizmo The Chihuahua When Drunk In Benidorm

Women Get Tattoos Of Seagull And Gizmo The Chihuahua When Drunk In Benidorm

That's one way to remember Gizmo's tragic fate...

It's the mystery that has been sweeping - or should that be swooping - across the UK for the entire week. Did a seagull really fly off with a chihuahua from a back garden in Devon?

More to the point - can a seagull even pick up a dog? Would it want to?

So many questions. Here's another - would you get a tattoo commemorating the tragic event?

If you answered yes to that question, chances are you're either Natalie Moran or Eve Hanson, two friends from Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Yes, they actually did.

The two girls are off on their holiday in Benidorm right now, and we all know how things can get out there. After a day spent sitting absorbing some sunshine, not to mention a whole load of alcohol, the pair decided to celebrate the life - and loss - of Gizmo the chihuahua by getting tattoos.

Natalie decided that she'd have the doomed doggo on her ankle, and Eve got his winged assassin inked on hers.

All in all a hilarious incident, and one that they'll take home with them to remember forever, even if some of the finer details of the day might be a bit fuzzy.

The pair seem to be having a decent laugh.

Natalie told LADbible: "Me and my friend Eve are currently on holiday in Benidorm. All we've seen all over Facebook is memes and a story of a seagull picking up a chihuahua.

"After about 11 pints each sitting at the bar all day, we then decided to join in on the hype and go that bit extra and got the tattoos.

"We got them on our ankles. I got the chihuahua, Eve got the seagull.

"It will be an unforgettable holiday and we have the tattoos to prove it."

Yep, it sure will.

If all of this is unfamiliar to you, let me fill in the details.

Gizmo is (was?) a tiny dog that was outside a house in Devon, where she lived with her owner, Becca Hill.

The four-year-old pooch was minding her own business in the back yard when - according to Becca's partner - a malevolent seagull swooped and carried the wee pup off.

Look at the evil in his eyes...

Becca issued a desperate plea for any information regarding Gizmo's whereabouts. She told Devon Live: "It carried Gizmo a fair way as we couldn't see him anymore. I have no idea if he was dropped or where he is now."

On social media, she added: "Please, please, please, anyone finds a chihuahua he's mine, a seagull took him from my garden.

"Have a really upset six-year-old missing her dog."

Of the incident, the RSPCA said: "Our hearts go out to Gizmo's family and we hope he is found soon and is OK.

"This must be extremely upsetting for the dog's owner.

"Fortunately these types of incidents are very rare and not typical gull behaviour."
