We've all been there - whether it's at a park, during a dinner party or just after a long day's work. You're all ready to crack open a bottle of wine only to find out you've misplaced, broken or simply do not have a corkscrew.

Well, you'll be happy to know there's a way around the predicament, as one woman has blown people's minds after sharing how to open a bottle without a bottle opener.

All you'll need are two common cutlery pieces and a whole lot of creativity.

The woman took to TikTok to share with her thousands of followers how to go about opening a wine bottle without a bottle opener.

She explained: "I need everyone to look at this trick I just learned on TikTok.

In the clip, the TikToker offered a step-by-step tutorial on how to go about doing it, continuing: "I didn't have a wine opener and I learned on TikTok that if you stab the cork with a knife and use a fork to turn it around, it will open the wine bottle."

"Look at how easy it is. This is the best thing ever."

It sure is.

The maestro captioned the post: "THANK YOU TIKTOK!

"Open a wine bottle without the bottle opener with fork and knife. I don’t even use google anymore, I love it here."

Us too, us too.

Who would have thought a fork and a knife could do the trick?

The vino hack has since gone viral after clocking up over 2.7 million views on TikTok with a whole avalanche of comments from people eager to share their reactions to the discovery.

One TikTok user posted: "WAIT THAT IS GENIUSSSSS!"

Many others, albeit impressed, couldn't help but lament over past experiences where they were forced to come up with some - let's just say - alternative measures to crack open a bottle.

"Where was this other day when I had to break the top with a hammer," asked one.

Voilà!

Another added: "Where were you when I cracked it open on the edge of the table?"

A third wrote: "Wish I knew this before I smashed the top of a wine bottle on a curb to open it."

"One time I used a nail and a claw hammer HAHAHA," echoed a fourth.

It's of surprise, then, that so many people's minds were utterly blown by the revelation.

"I could have used this SO MANY TIMES," revealed one while a final TikTok user exclaimed: "THIS IS THE LIFE HACK I NEED IN MY LIFE IT WORKED!!!!"
