Line Of Duty Fans Are Asking Alexa Who 'H' Is And She Is Responding

As series five of Line of Duty draws to a close, a huge questions looms large - who is H?

Many fans have their own theories - which could be proven to be correct or incorrect in the season finale - but it seems there are people out there who aren't patient enough to wait for an answer.

In desperation, some people have asked their trusty household know-it-all, Alexa, who H is. It seems sound logic really; she knows what the weather is going to be like, what score Reading v Brentford was, how tall Elton John is, why wouldn't she know who H is?

However, it seems she has not been forthcoming with an answer.

People have reported that Alexa has replied to the big question by saying: "I know who 'H' is, but I'm too scared to tell you."

Others have asked Alexa whether Ted Hastings is H, to which she has replied: "Sorry, I can only reveal that to a viewer at least one rank your senior."

People on Twitter seemed pleased with her responses, partly because they were pleased she hadn't given away any spoilers, partly because, you know, it's harmless fun.

One person said: "So pleased Alexa is keeping schtum.. I've binged watched Line of Duty from the start, avoiding spoilers."

Another added: "I know it's just a simple, coded, response, but asking Alexa 'Who is 'H' in Line of Duty?' and getting the answer back 'I know who 'H' is, but I'm too scared to tell you.' is worth a chuckle. Just the one, mind."

Other subsequently decided to ask Apple's Siri whether they knew who H was, but they had no answers... Which led some people to believe that Siri may in fact be an informant.

It seems most likely though that virtual assistants have no more knowledge than we do about the narrative development of Line of Duty and we should probably stop asking them for answers. That said, it would be so sweet if a devout fan asked their Alexa who H is for a laugh and it actually went and told them the answer, thus ruining the show for them, as they requested.

I however do actually know who H is and I am happy to tell you all now, so please look away if you do not want to know who H is.
