Lady Gaga made a name for herself not only by creating pop banger after pop banger, but also wearing some incredible, bizarre and incredibly bizarre outfits. Every time she arrived at an event, she would look completely different - remember the meat dress, anyone?
But she's got rid of all the gimmicks for A Star Is Born.

The romantic drama musical also stars Bradley Cooper as Jackson Maine, an alcoholic singer who encourages Gaga's character, Ally, to pursue her talent.
The trailer shows Gaga - real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - dolled down, with brown hair and minimal make-up, clearly trying to give the character more presence over her incredible stardom.
People on social media were blown the fuck away by the preview.
Wow! Tears! I can't wait for this movie to come out! It was the longest 44 seconds waiting for Gaga to appear! I will be in the theater on October 5th! Can't wait to hear the whole soundtrack. @ladygaga

People were also impressed by Bradley Cooper's singing talents, with some suggesting the film is a shoo-in for an Oscar next year.
Interestingly, while Gaga has been a part of the project for nearly two years, she wasn't the first person approached for the role.
Clint Eastwood asked whether Beyoncé was keen and it seems as though her interest was piqued by the opportunity, but she had to bail after becoming pregnant with twins. Producers were also interested in American jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding, but Gaga eventually clinched the deal.
Cooper, who's also the director, producer and screenwriter, got the lead but movie bosses were also looking at Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, and Christian Bale.
This will be the third time A Star Is Born has been made into a movie, with the original premiering in 1937 and the second in 1976.

Writer Will Fetters told Collider that while the 2018 version will stick to the original script, it also draws a lot of inspiration from Kurt Cobain, who famously battled addiction.
"I wanted to approach A Star is Born, when somebody mentioned it," Fetters told the entertainment site.
"I said, for me, the framework was if Kurt Cobain never got to go Unplugged and survived and it was 20 years later and it's now and then he wanted to do that album, with that understanding that he was this grunge icon, that'd be tough to get done.
"If he was past his prime and no longer someone, how does he get that album?
"The whole movie for me is this balance between art and commerce, which is when you first start in this business, you are smacked in the face with it."
You'll get to see Cooper and Gaga sing for their lives when the movie comes out on 5 October this year.
