'Tubby Little Ginger C***' Is Officially In Season Two Of After Life

'Tubby Little Ginger C***' Is Officially In Season Two Of After Life

Great news all fans of After Life - the 'tubby little ginger c***' is back for season two.

Ricky Gervais - who writes, directs, produces and stars in the show - announced the wonderful news on Twitter, sharing a picture of the pair alongside a thank you card from Thomas (who plays the 'tubby little ginger c***').

The card reads: "To Ricky, Thank you for letting me pop up in season 2 of After Life. It was really kind of you to keep your promise. I know you didn't have to. From Thomas AKA 'Tubby littel [sic] ginger'."

To top it all off, Toby illustrated the card with a picture of himself next to a speech bubble that reads: "Paedo!"

Touching stuff.

For those who haven't yet seen the first series (for some bizarre reason), 'tubby little ginger c***' may seem like a bit of a harsh way to describe a child actor. However, those who did watch the first series can attest that being a 'tubby little ginger c***' is what the kid is known for.

The nine-year-old went viral after the first series aired for his cameo role in which he calls Gervais's character Tony a 'paedo'. Tony in turn responds: "I'm not a paedo, and if I was, you'd be safe you tubby little ginger c***."

Truly, what's not to love?

Typically though, people who can't appreciate quality comedy kicked off about it, prompting Thomas's mum, Debbie, to set the record straight.

She said: "It's quite harsh and it's been a little controversial, but I'm very proud of him. I can understand it to a point because the lines are harsh things to say, but it's just a show and it's only acting.

"Ricky didn't actually say it to Thomas' face and if people get offended, don't watch it. There are movies out there which show kids getting murdered and abused - this is hardly anything.

"The insults were actually filmed separately, and Thomas had to wear padding to make himself look bigger. I will let him watch it because he's in it - it's swearing, that's all it is."

After the clip went viral earlier this year, Debbie tweeted: "Fantastic experience he will remember forever. Would like to say he is proud to be part of this. Ricky is a fantastic human and would like the opportunity to be called a tubby ginger c*** again if there is ever a series 2."

Gervais replied: "I'm sure he can pop up again somewhere."

So evidently, Gervais has delivered on this promise... whether he calls Thomas a 'tubby little ginger c***' again though remains to be seen.
