Lil Nas X - Whats His Net Worth And What's His Real Name?

If you've heard of Lil Nas X then it's probably because of country rap single "Old Town Road". Despite only starting to make music in 2018, the 20-year-old has already made it to number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart by knocking off Ariana Grande's '7 rings'. He's even collaborated with Billy Ray Cyrus and performed at Glastonbury Festival. That's a long way away from playing trumpet in fourth grade when he had to quit for the fear of appearing uncool. We don't think he'll have that problem anymore.

Lil Nas X kicked off his career after taking the internet by storm via a viral hit on TikTok early in 2019 and he hasn't looked back. He's also been praised for coming out as gay back in June this year. This makes him the only artist ever to come out while having a number-one hit record.

Here's everything you need to know about Lil Nas X.

What is Lil Nas X's real name and where is he from?

Lil Nas X was born Montero Lamar Hill and he was born in Atlanta, USA.

Career

The rapper's first song "Old Town Road" is currently on track to hold a record for the no.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has been there for 15 weeks and only Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" featuring Justin Bieber have lasted longer. If he lasts another two weeks, then the record will be his own.Despite the fact that Lil Nas X didn't start making music until 2018, he broke the record held by Drake for the most US streams in one week with a whopping 143 million.

The tweet references his song, "C7osure (You Like)," which has the lyrics, "True say/ I want and I need/ To let go, use my time to be free/ It's like it's always what you like/ It's always what you like/ Why it's always what you like/ It's always what you like, uh."

It then continues to talk about his lack of desire to "act" in front of others: "Ain't no more actin', man that forecast say I should just let me grow/ No more red light for me, baby, only green, I gotta go/ Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold/ This is what I gotta do, can't be regrettin' when I'm old."
