South Park brutally rips into 'dumb and stupid' Harry and Meghan in new episode

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have never been ones to avoid the most contentious topics out there.

And their latest episode of South Park takes aim at the world's most divisive Duke and Duchess:

Yep, the controversial royal pairing find themselves - or at least characters remarkably similar - in the firing line of the two writers and the long-running series tonight (16 February), and it promises to be pretty brutal.

I mean, it's just a surprise it hasn't happened sooner to be honest.

Skewering Harry and Meghan's desire to be left alone by the media while also courting as much attention as possible, the episode centres on a couple's 'Worldwide Privacy Tour'.

Its description reads: "The prince of Canada and his wife try to find privacy and seclusion in a small mountain town."

In a clip from the episode, Kyle and Stan can be seen discussing 'Harry and Meghan' in their cafeteria, both becoming increasingly irate by the global obsession with them.

Kyle says: "It seriously is driving me crazy. I’m sick of hearing about them but I can’t get away from them!

"They’re everywhere. In my f****ing face."

To which Stan replies: "Look, Kyle, we just kind of don’t care about some dumb prince and his stupid wife."

Another leaked clip also shows the prince and princess sitting down for a tell-all interview about their lives and the prince's new book, titled 'Waaagh'.

And you won't be surprised to know that the teaser for the episode has gone down very well with South Park fans.

Writing on Twitter, one user said: "It’s how #SouthPark captured how #PrinceHarry gets outraged at anything towards Meghan which then makes him do some dumb s**t. The funniest bit is how they captured how #MeghanMarkle just sits back while Harry goes on a mad one."

Another joked: "You ever heard of privacy?!"

"South Park is always accurate," put a third.

The episode sees the prince and princess on their 'Worldwide Privacy Tour'.

While another added: "South Park having Prince Harry and Meghan on their front lawn setting off fireworks and playing the drums while demanding people respect their privacy is so on point."

It's safe to say that Harry and Meghan are not everyone's cup of tea.

While some have backed the couple's decision to step back from royal duties to protect their personal lives from media speculation and intrusion, others believe that they bring a lot of the attention on themselves.

And Jeremy Clarkson found himself in hot water recently when he wrote an article in which he described his visceral hatred from Meghan.

Referencing the 'shame' scene from Game of Thrones, the former Top Gear presenter said he wanted to see the duchess 'walk naked through the streets while people threw excrement at her'.

The comments were roundly criticised, with Clarkson eventually coming out and offering an apology to the couple.

IPSO later announced that it was launching an investigation into the article after it received thousands of complaints.
