Slasher movie Scream was an absolute smash hit upon its release in 1996, and received a lot of praise for revitalising the horror genre.
Its 1997 sequel Scream 2 was also widely successful - however, the third and fourth films were met with mixed reviews.
But with nine years having passed since our last instalment of the franchise, it seems like producers are pushing forward with a fifth outing - and they want to include at least one cast member from the original film.

Neve Campbell played the lead Sidney Prescott in the first Scream and she's now in talks to take on the role again.
Speaking to YouTube's Jake Hamilton, Neve said: "They've come to me and we're having conversations. It's a little hard at the moment because of Covid to know when that'll happen and hopefully we can see eye to eye on all the elements that have to come into place for it to happen.
"I originally had been really apprehensive about doing another Scream without [original director] Wes [Craven] because he was such a genius and he is the reason they are what they are, but the directors have come to me with such a great appreciation for Wes's work and they really want to honour it and that meant a lot to me.

"Hopefully we'll be able to do it."
The original four movies, based around the infamous villain Ghostface, were all directed by the late Wes Craven, but his death in 2015 cast doubt on whether the series would be able to continue.
But following on from the well-received Scream television series, which first aired in 2015, a new movie is the obvious next step for Spyglass Media Group, which recently acquired the rights to the brand.

Actor David Arquette, who played Dewey Riley, says he would be keen to reprise his role as the fourth film was open ended enough for the franchise to continue. We just need a confirmation from Courteney Cox that she'll join them. What a reunion that will be.
