Clarkson’s Farm will release its fourth season tomorrow, but it seems the show has already hit a snag.

Series four of the hit Jeremy Clarkson show, which focuses on his running of the Diddly Squat farm, will largely centre around Clarkson’s journey towards purchasing and running a pub.

Clarkson bought the pub in Burford last year, opening The Farmer’s Dog and setting up a strict rule only allowing British produce and drinks.

This led to financial problems for the pub, with Clarkson admitting in his column for The Times that he lost £10 for every person who ate at the pub.

With the fourth season of Clarkson's Farm focusing heavily on Clarkson’s search for and purchase of The Farmer’s Dog, there is one very clear and obvious problem the show has encountered.

Much of the things that happen in the show became public knowledge well before they're set to air tomorrow (May 23).

Whilst many will still want to watch along to find out what happens between Kaleb and Jeremy and how the Top Gear presenter will deal with the countless issues that come with running a farm, this fact takes a lot of tension out of watching the show.

If you are watching wondering which pub Jeremy Clarkson is going to end up purchasing, you already know he is going to end up opening The Farmer’s Dog.

You know the financial problems that will come with Clarkson’s idea to only use British produce.

If you are watching wondering what environmental issues Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm will encounter, you will likely have already seen the videos the farm posted revealing the devastating effect of the rainstorms in 2024.

This is a problem many reality TV shows encounter once they become incredibly popular.

Welcome to Wrexham’s first season was incredibly tense for anyone who didn’t know whether the team would be promoted or not – however, with each season their end of season result would become more and more widely publicised.

This is now a focus that Clarkson’s Farm faces, and not one that can be easily solved.

Whenever the presenter looks to begin a new venture, he will be unable to avoid media focus from revealing it to potential viewers, something doubly true considering the show is so heavily focused around planning permission and new venues.

This has been reflected in the reviews for season four, with several suggesting that the ‘shtick has worn thin’ for the show.

Whilst anyone who is able to avoid social media updates about Clarkson and his newest business ventures will be able to go in completely blind – fervent fans of the show who get every news update should prepare to not be surprised by everything in season four of Clarkson’s Farm.

Clarkson's Farm season four releases May 23, 2025.
