Cheeky Puppies Turn Themselves Completely Pink After Getting Into Make-Up Room

Their owner thought something horrible had happened when she saw the mess

A group of cheeky puppies got themselves in a right old mess after rummaging around in their owner's make-up kit.

Christine Amurao, from Cavite in the Philippines, got the shock of her life when she woke up last Monday (28 September) to find her bedroom covered in a reddish-pink substance, which she thought was blood.

Fearing something horrific had happened, she jumped up to investigate.

Fortunately, it was just the result of her naughty trio of puppies - Toffee, Sparkle and Sushi - who had been playing in her make-up room, and not something more sinister.

When Christine found her pups, they were munching on a pack of colourant powder she uses to make lip tint and scrub.

With all three dogs having dyed themselves totally pink, it didn't take long for her to realise what had gone on.

Christine said: "They reached for the plastic and chewed it off until it was broken. They were already pink when I saw them."

She says the colourant is made from natural ingredients so the dogs were not harmed after ingesting it.

And while they are still pink, the dye was not permanent and Christine is hopeful she will be able to wash it out soon.

This isn't the first time troublesome dogs have experimented with dye.

Last year, a pair of French bulldogs somehow managed to raid a kitchen cupboard and cover themselves in green food colouring, making them look a bit like the Incredible Hulk.

Owner Yada Ornsomjit, from in Lamphun, northern Thailand, said she got a shock when she woke up on the morning of 20 July and saw the pair in the kitchen. Well, yeah, I bet she did.

Dogs Dam-nam and Sai-Aua didn't just colour their own fur, but also their bedding, part of the floor and surfaces - which I'm sure Yada was delighted with.

"I forgot to shut the kitchen door the night before," Yada admitted. "But I couldn't believe they went inside and made everything green.

"My husband and I spent half a day washing them about three times, but some parts of their bodies were still green. We were really tired, but they seemed not to know what they had done wrong."

But it's not always the dog's fault, as Ted found out when his owner's daughter dyed his fur green.

Caitlin O'Connor, from Derry in Northern Ireland, got the idea after seeing people using special dye to colour their pets online and decided to give the little fella a makeover to celebrate his first birthday.
