Fuming gamers have already given PlayStation a pizza their mind this week, but now Domino's have cut in as well.
PlayStation caused a stir on Wednesday, July 1, when they confirmed they would be discontinuing physical discs forever from January 2028.
That's not just for their self-published titles, but every single game that's released on PlayStation consoles.
"This is a natural direction for Sony Interactive Entertainment to adapt to consumer trends as the general preference for digital media significantly outpaces physical discs," PlayStation said in a statement, as they tried to assure gamers the change would have no impact on games released before 2028.
Advert
But the caveat did little to calm PlayStation fans down, who slammed the decision in the replies on social media.
A PlayStation fan account said: "I have no words, final nail in the coffin of the company I once loved."
The decision came in the wake of Rockstar announcing the highly-anticipated GTA 6 will not come with a physical disc either when it's finally released on November 19, 2026.
A disc-less future means no more trading in or picking up a bargain at CEX, while it has sparked concerns amongst gamers on backwards compatibility, pricing and media ownership.
The bombshell announcement came shortly after Sony announced it will be removing 551 films and TV shows from the PlayStation store in the UK on September 1, 2026.
As a result, people who have previously bought the impacted media will no longer be able to access it afterwards.
Gamers aren't alone in their anguish though, as Domino's have sliced in with their own swipe.
Domino's give an official statement after PlayStation announced the end of discs

Domino's are clearly fans of circular objects, whether you put them in a disc drive or your mouth, and they're not happy in the slightest with PlayStation's choice, which is even more controversial than pineapple on pizza.
The official UK account of Domino's were straight into the replies of Sony's statement, saying: "Makes about as much sense as us changing to digital pizzas."
But now they've gone a step further with a full-on statement, having a right 'Dominooo go go' at them.
Posting again on X with some 'BREAKING NEWS', the pizza slingers said: "In response to trends in the gaming industry, as of 1st April 2027, Domino's UK will cease production of physical pizzas and shift to production of digital pizzas only.
"Consumers will be able to download our full range of delicious pizza codes and, using the power of the imagination, enjoy them in an entirely virtual sense."
We'll keep an eye out for their April fool's joke on this next year.

Game store not happy with the announcement
In a less jovial take, the retail outlet Game have made it clear they're strongly against the decision, too.
The Spanish arm of Game, Game Espana, said in a lengthy statement, translated from Spanish, via the Express: “Every time a physical edition disappears, we lose the FREEDOM to enjoy our hobby exactly how we want: the ability to lend a game to a friend, to resell it, to collect it, to preserve it, or simply to choose where and how we buy it, without monopolies.
“At GAME, we have spent 40 years defending the physical format because we know that for millions of players, it isn't just a box on a shelf: it represents memories, collections, special editions, the history of video games, and above all, consumer rights.

“We are not going to sit idly by. They want us to believe that this is a natural evolution, but we believe that the future should not be built by eliminating options, but by expanding them.
“Digital and physical can coexist; in fact, they have been doing so for years. We are aware that the digital format is here to stay, but we do not want a model imposed unilaterally. We want one that guarantees our rights as players and our freedom to choose.
“This will be GAME's fight, but also the fight of a united community that has never stopped defending what it loves."
