50 Cent Has Apologised to Madonna After Criticising Her Recent Lingerie Photos

50 Cent Has Apologised to Madonna After Criticising Her Recent Lingerie Photos

50 Cent and Madonna engaged in a heated social media exchange over the pop star's series of lingerie photos.

50 Cent has backtracked on his comments after being publicly criticised by a defiant Madonna, who is clearly unapologetic and unashamed to show and celebrate her body.

The conflict between the now ex-friends started after Madonna posted a series of lingerie photos in various seductive poses on Instagram.

In her caption, she explained to her followers that the photos were previously taken down by Instagram “without warning” because a small amount of her nipple was showing.

The ‘Material Girl’ singer stated that "it is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple.”

She then expressed her gratitude that she was able to 'maintain her sanity' after enduring four decades of “censorship…… sexism……ageism and misogyny.”

This statement against societal standards, however, seemed to go right over 50 Cent’s head as he reposted one of the photos with the caption: “Yo this is the funniest s**t! LOL. That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do like a virgin at 63.

"She shot out, if she don’t get her old a** up. LMFAO.”

Pretty harsh, we must say.

Well, Madonna swiftly responded to this by calling out the rapper directly on her Instagram story where she posted a picture of the both of them with a caption over the top of it accusing him of 'talking smack'.

“I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media. You’re just jealous you won’t look as good as me or have as much fun when you are my age!" she wrote in the caption.

"Too bad there are no sour grapes emogees @50cent."

The dig clearly got through to the ‘Candy Shop’ rapper, who reposted the photo where he apologised if he 'hurt her feelings'.

"I must have hurt Madonna feelings, she went and dug up a old MTV photo from 03," he wrote on Twitter.

"Ok Im sorry I did not intend to hurt your feelings. I don't benefit from this in anyway I said what I thought when I saw the pictures because of where I had seen it before I hope you accept my apology."

The ‘Vogue’ singer also addressed the comments in an Instagram video of her in a baby Yoda filter saying: “Cheer up, things could be worse, you could be me for instance, permanently me.

“Personally, I like the way I look, but there are those that find it hard to appreciate people and things that are different.

“And they try to shame me or humiliate me by making me feel less than because I am not like anyone else. But in fact, I cherish my uniqueness and I have grown stronger because to be unique is to be rare”.

Well, that should teach 50 Cent - and anyone else - to never mess with the Queen of Pop!
