Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has revealed he's planning on selling all of his houses and renting a place to live, saying he believes possessions 'weigh you down'.
Musk, whose partner Grimes gave birth to their baby son earlier this week, appeared on a new episode of Joe Rogan's hugely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
During the two-hour interview, Rogan asked his guest about a huge claim he recently made on Twitter, in which he pledged to sell 'almost all physical possessions', including his houses - one of which used to belong to actor Gene Wilder.
Musk, 48, explained: "I'm slightly sad about it actually, but I think possessions kind of weigh you down.

"They're kind of an attack vector.
"People say 'Hey billionaire, you got all this stuff!' Now it's like, 'Well, now I don't have stuff. What are you gonna do?'"
Rogan asked if the entrepreneur was going to rent a place - prompting Musk to confirm he is - and if that meant getting rid of 'everything except clothes'.
"No I said like, almost everything," Musk said quickly, laughing along to Rogan's suggestion that he keeps a 'couple of Teslas'.

"Yeah, I kinda have to - test the product and stuff!" Musk said.
"Yeah, things that have sentimental value, for sure I'm keeping those.

"What's the worst that could happen? It'll be fine."
Musk explained that another part of the reason why he wanted to shed his lavish lifestyle was due to the stigma around being rich - saying how he feels being a billionaire has become somewhat loaded in recent years, arguing it's now a 'pejorative' term and considered a 'bad thing'.
He continued: "I've been thinking about it for a while. Part of it is, like I have a bunch of houses but I don't spend a lot of time in most of them, and that doesn't seem like a good use of assets.
"Somebody could probably be enjoying those houses and get better use of them than me."
Rogan asked whether Musk would ever want to create his very own 'dream home', envisaging some sort of 'Tony Stark-type s***'.

But Musk said: "Does it really make sense for me to spend time designing a house - and I'd be real OCD on the details and the design - or should I be allocating that time to getting us to Mars?
"I should probably do the latter. What's more important: Mars or a house? I like Mars."
He added: "I mean, you can only do some many things."
