Genie Bouchard Has Been On A Third Date With That Lucky Guy From Twitter

Not only did some bloke score a rendez-vous with tennis player Eugenie Bouchard after tweeting her, he's somehow managed a few more dates

An everyday bloke called John Goehrke became the envy of people across the globe after he managed to score a date with tennis star Eugenie Bouchard earlier this year, having tried his luck on Twitter and miraculously won out.

Nine months later, the pair have just been caught on another date - enjoying an evening on Miami beach together, no less. Alright for some, isn't it?

It all began in February when Eugenie posted on Twitter during the Super Bowl, confidently claiming that the Atlanta Falcons would win. John - one of the tennis star's 1.56 million followers - then commented on the post, saying: "If Patriots win, we go on a date?"

She simply replied: "Sure".

When the Falcons eventually lost, Eugenie clearly felt she had to honour the bet, and much to the surprise of the rest of the world, actually agreed to go on a date.

The 23-year-old then decided that a casual basketball game would be best and off they went.

The Canadian told the Yes Network: "I'm in New York City for Sports Illustrated, which came out this morning, and I thought: 'Why not make the date happen sooner rather than later? There's a Nets game tonight.'

"I think it would be a great date idea, probably less awkward than a one-on-one dinner since I didn't know John."

But, believe it or not, that wasn't the last of it. Since then the two have also been chilling, as seen in photos posted to Eugenie's social media accounts.

One was captioned: "Look who came to visit me! #superbowltwitterdate", while another showed her and John kicking back on the sofa, with a Snapchat filter of mistletoe.

It's not clear whether the two are hanging out as friends or 'more than just friends', but either way it's a great story for the plight of the average Joe. It also gives us all a bit of hope for the baffling world of dating - if this guy can score a date by simply trying his luck and tweeting a Canadian tennis pro, maybe it's proof we should all be making a few more risks in looking for love.
