There's less than 100 days to go until the final season of Game of Thrones and if there's one thing we want to know all about, it's the huge battles we've been promised - who will die? Who will survive? And who will kill who?

Every fan must be dying to know the fate of one guy in particular - Gregor Clegane, aka The Mountain. In the series the character is played by the 6ft 9in beast of a man known as Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - although it looks as though he'll be sharing the role, as the final season will see him using a stunt double for the first time.

In an interview with Mashable, Hafþór said: "All the seasons prior to this, apart from the season we just finished filming, I never had stunt doubles. I always did everything myself. But the last season I filmed - the season that hasn't been shown on television yet - I had a stunt double there."

Considering he is actually the World's Strongest Man, it begs the questions - what kind of fights or battles is he getting into that would require a stunt double?

Fans have been dying to see The Mountain take on his scarred brother Sandor Clegane, aka The Hound, since the beginning - and they've dubbed the non-fight 'Cleganebowl'.

Hafþór dropped a hint this might actually happen earlier this year - when asked about it, he replied: "It happens in season 8... so I can't speak about it."

And what of those massive battles? Well, it was reported back in December that season 8 would have the biggest battle in television history. Not too shabby, eh?

Vladimir Furdik, who plays the show's infamous Night King, revealed in an interview with a Hungarian website, Sorozat Wiki, that fans would finally see the battle they've all be waiting for since Jon Snow first took on the White Walkers.

He said: "In the third part of the last season, there is a battle that the creators intend to be the biggest in television history. Almost the full episode will be about the battle, it will take about an hour."

Although we've got nothing to confirm whether The Mountain himself would feature in that battle, the final series of the long-running show is pretty much guaranteed to be a blood bath.

Also, if the World's Strongest Man needs a stunt double, you'd imagine something pretty extreme is in store.
