Here's What Lita From WWE Has Been Up To Since Leaving WWE

What a legend.

It was recently Trish Stratus' birthday, and finding out what she's up to these days was a reminder to all of us of just how big of an impact she had on our pre-adolescent days.

For the majority of us who had our heads firmly encased in the drama of early 2000s WWE, Trish was that woman who inspired rather strange activity in our pants, and was a first crush for many of us.

Another popular 'diva' at the time was Lita, who made a name for herself as Matt Hardy's boyfriend and part of 'Team Xtreme' team. She then completely tarnished that reputation many years later by mimicking having sex with Edge in the ring.

Real name Amy Dumas, she made her debut on Sunday Night Heat on the February 13, 2000 with Essa Rios. The pair's partnership didn't last very long, with Rios eventually powerbombing her. This prompted the Hardy Boyz to come to the rescue and this created their famous trio.

Over the years she was very memorable for willingly having her underwear on show, as well as taking her top off. But in 2005, in the midst of a real-life and on-screen relationship with Edge, things were about to change forever.

Edge had promised an on-air live sex celebration should he win the WWE championship, which he did, and the pair simulated going at it in the ring.

It was a rather odd thing to behold, but did include Lita's left boob popping out. It ended up as the most watched episode of Monday Night Raw that year for obvious reasons.

Since her retirement, she's been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but has been busy in different places.

She was also the lead singer of the punk rock band Luchagors from 2006 until 2014, when the band split after releasing one album. There was rumoured to be a second album which had been recorded, but was never released due to an unsuccessful tour in the UK.

In 2013 Lita hosted her own radio show on SFMTV called Amy's Discordia. She also spoke about her life and travels while playing a selection of music. It wasn't majorly successful, but did feature guest such as former flame CM Punk.

In 2014, after Luchagors split, she returned to the WWE as a producer. She appeared as a trainer in Tough Enough's sixth season throughout 2015, but it was announced later that year that she'd become a creative writer for the company.

Earlier this month Jim Ross confirmed that Lita had actually parted ways with the company, although the reasons are still unknown.

The 41-year-old is a very keen animal rights activist, and founded the animal charity Amy Dumas Operation Rescue and Education (A.D.O.R.E.) in 2003. It was an admiral act and a charity that is still going today.
