When Summer Heights High debuted on our screens back in 2007, people immediately fell in love with characters such as Ja'mie, Jonah and Mr G.

Actor Chris Lilley crafted these brilliant and hilarious characters from scratch and they were so popular that the first two got their own spin-off shows.

Well, the Aussie legend has now revealed that he could be making a third one.

During a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread, one person asked Lilley if he would ever do a Mr G spin-off and he replied, saying: "Yeah probs. They'll all come back eventually."

That is some big news!

While it's nothing close to a confirmation that a spin-off is in the works, it certainly does signal Lilley's interest in doing one further down the line.

When another user asked whether he would bring back Summer Heights High in some way, shape or form, he replied with: "Yeah I loved that show too and would like to in some form.

"Ja'mie: Private School Girl and Jonah From Tonga were Summer Heights High spin-offs but there could be more..."

Lilley's previous spin-offs haven't been as well reviewed as SHH, however there are pockets of people who absolutely adore the characters.

He was constantly asked about whether season two of Lunatics is on the way, bur he didn't give away any details of what we could expect.

"There's something new on the way. But can't say yet," he said.

Lilley also said he is thinking about doing a comedy tour in the future but he insisted that he needs to figure out how he could bring his characters to the stage.

While all that is up in the air, the one thing that is certain is that he absolutely adores the memes that have been spawned by the show.

"I am obsessed with the memes and repost them constantly," he said. "It's the greatest thing ever for people to pick up on the details and analyse these shows the way that the meme pages do.

"I also love it when they take a pic or video and give it a completely new context and it's still funny or even more funny.

"I'm amazed at how popular all of the meme pages are. And also can't believe how much work you all put into it. It makes my day every day."

Only time will tell whether Mr G makes it as a spin-off, but no doubt there will be loads of people who will want to watch it.
