Marlon Wayans Says A White Chicks Sequel Is 'Necessary'

Marlon Wayans reckons we're due a White Girls sequel - and I have to say, I completely agree.
It's been almost 17 years since White Chicks hit the big screen and introduced us to FBI agents Kevin Copeland and Marcus Copeland - played by Marlon and his brother Shawn - who go undercover as white heiress sisters Tiffany and Brittany Wilson.
The movie was a huge hit, racking in more than $113 million from a modest $37 million budget - yet despite its commercial success and popularity with audiences, we've never had a sequel.

However, it seems as though 49-year-old Wayans is keen to fix that.
Speaking to Variety, Wayans said: "I think White Chicks 2 is necessary.
"I think we've tightened up so much that we need to loosen our ties a bit and laugh a little bit."
He added: "I don't think Hollywood understands what a juggernaut White Chicks 2 would be."
Wayans went on to say he and his brothers - Keenan and Shawn who co-wrote the flick - already have plenty of ideas for a second helping.
He added: "And the world just keeps giving us more.

"White Chicks 2 is writing itself."
This isn't the first time the actor has teased us about a sequel for the hit comedy.
All the way back in 2018 Wayans said he and his brothers were considering it as 'a lot of people want' a second movie. We sure do.
He told TLR: "Is White Chicks 2 happening anytime soon? I don't know. But there's been a lot of rumblings happening.
"A lot of people want us to do it. So me and my brothers have been talking. So if things go right, we hope to do a White Chicks 2."

While in 2019, Terry Crews - who starred as Latrell Spencer - also revealed that he'd be on board for a sequel.
During an interview on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Crews said: "You know what, I actually got with Shawn, and he was like 'man we doing it, we getting it going'."
He then joked: "I've stayed in shape just for that movie. I've been working out for 15 years so we could do White Chicks 2, y'all."
