Life is hard, you get a job you don't like, work your fingers to the bone for little reward, have children who don't respect you, a wife/husband who probably doesn't love you, before eventually shuffling off this mortal coil to become worm food.
So that's why it's important that we have those little things to look forward to, which keep us distracted from the utter shit show that is life.

And the Galaxy Truffle was one of those small joys. It was a king among men of the chocolate world, the jewel in the crown of the box of Celebrations
But then, seemingly over night, the Truffle was cruelly taken away, snatched from the mouths of children, only to be replaced by a Twix. A Twix. The most pointless - after the Malteser, obviously - chocolate in the entire box.
When was the last time you saw someone actually go and buy a Twix?
Seven years since the Truffle was binned, people are still traumatised by the incredible sense of loss, and have even started a petition demanding that Mars bring it back.

The petition has 1,206 signatures of the 10,000 goal and with just a couple of days left until Christmas it is looking unlikely that the target will be reached - but a person can dream.
It says: "This petition has been made so people are aware that the Galaxy Truffle was taken away from the Celebrations chocolates.
"Apparently, they were taken away due to them being too expensive for production and so were replaced with the Twix.
"Let's get the Truffle back and let the company know that we don't want something that was so popular to be replaced with something so mediocre.

"Let us show not only the heartbreak of something so delicious being taken away, but to show that this should never happen again!"
And by the look of some of the comments on the post, people still feel as strongly about the sweet treat as they ever did.
One person said: "Give this country something to cheer about! Bring back the Truffle!!!"
While another added: "Worst decision by Celebrations to take them out. Bring them back!"

And a third disgruntled chocolate fan wrote: "I hate Twix and love the truffles. We had a tub to share at work and the only thing left are Twix. I conclude that not many people like Twix."
Celebrations boxes currently contain Maltesers Teasers, Mars Bars, Bounties, Milky Ways, Snickers, Galaxies, Galaxy Caramels and Twixes - the latter of which replaced the almighty Galaxy Truffle back in 2011.
