One way to get your business known quickly is to call it something a little risqué and watch the snowball effect take off.

With this in mind, it looks like Dawn Moon knows what she's doing when it comes to her nail salon, Hand Jobs Nails & Spa in Sandusky, Ohio.

So much so that she became a viral sensation on social media when the name of her salon was revealed but some residents and community figures see it as offensive. Well, at least they'll know where to go when they need their raised brows waxing...

And it seems that the community has played right into her trap as Dawn told ABC 13: "You don't want something that they can't remember or that they can't pronounce or say.

"In less than a week, I think the whole country knows about us. You can't pay for that kind of advertising."

Dawn Moon is now offering to sell these prints on a hoodie or tshirt for customers.

And she assured that it could be taken quite literally - so, maybe people need to get their mind's out of the gutter.

In the interview with ABC, she added: "If you go in and get your nose done, it's called a nose job right? Well you come in and get your hands done it's a hand job.

"It really is what we do, we work on hands all day every day."

In a post on her business Facebook page, Dawn explained: "UPDATE: Perkins Zoning did NOT approve the sign. It has to come down! Now we APPEAL."

After news of the authorities' disapproval, people took to social media responding to Dawn. One said: "The hate... I hope you win your appeal jealousy and envy sure shows when others become successful."

Another added: "Nah this sign was genius and it needs to be approved! Let small businesses win dammit".

A third commented: "Wtf. . why because their shallow minds are in the gutter. .I hope you win your appeal. .that's ridiculous. .change it to Spanish if you have to. ."

Others are trying to figure out a way to get around the decision, one person suggested: "Is there a way to have a sign without being a sign?? Like window decals??"

Many people are calling for a petition to be set up vowing to sign it and back the salon.
