The 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season Six Trailer Is Here

The brand new Brooklyn Nine-Nine trailer is here and it looks bloody cool.

The new trailer starts with a dramatic scene, complete with explosions, helicopter and an heroic leap from Peralta - before it's all revealed to be a day-dream sequence from the cop, acted out by tiny plastic figures.

The show is back on our screens on 10 January, after it was saved by NBC following Fox cancelling the show.

Fans were left fuming when Fox announced the shock drop, despite the show's popularity, but NBC wasted no time in picking up the hit cop sitcom.

There was even more good news for fans when it was revealed that the new season of the show will be longer than previously reported.

The sixth season will have 18 episodes, up from 13, but still fewer than the previous seasons which each had around 22 or 23.

Andy Samberg, who plays Detective Jake Peralta, has also reassured fans that this isn't the last we're going to see of the show.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when asked if season six would be the final outing for the cast, he said: "One hundred percent no."

However, he then added he was 'trying to be confident', which is exactly what someone who wasn't confident would say, right?

NBC is delighted to have the show back on its channel, with chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt, saying:"Ever since we sold this show to Fox I've regretted letting it get away, and it's high time it came back to its rightful home.

"Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we're all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here's to the Nine-Nine!"

And it's not just the network happy that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is back, fans can't keep their excitement to themselves on social media, with one writing: "I'm so happy, I can't breathe."

And other posting: "I'm on the floor screaming."

Others made a not-so subtle nod to Peralta simply posting: "cool".
