A couple in the US have uncovered a hidden away hot tub under the floor of their home office.

Mark Ronsman, 39, and is wife Jenny, also 39, bought their home almost three-and-a-half years ago and had been told there was once a hot tub in one of the rooms.

The couple wasted no time in pulling up the cover and unearthing the hot tub, but it's only been during the recent lockdown that they've had the extra time on their hands to set about getting it up and running.

Sharing some before and after shots of his office/hot tub room on Facebook Mark wrote: "When we bought this house, we knew there was a hot tub in this room. But the elderly woman who sold us the house said they got older and stopped using it, so they converted it to an office.

"She showed us an old photo of it filled with water and people back in the day but it didn't really give you a good feel for how the hot tub looked itself.

"One of the first things I did when we moved in was tear up that carpet and figure out what was going on.

"I was pleased to find the tile in the hot tub looks beautiful! And it's super deep! I'm just now finally getting to fixing it up to run again. Hopefully soon while this lockdown is going on."

Speaking to LADbible Mark, who lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, said: "The hot tub has been checked out on a basic level by a pool technician and they said it should all work. So, we are just finishing up cleaning the tiles grout making them all white again and are hoping to finish that portion within a week or so.

"Then I have to flush and clean the pipes/pumps and then fill it up and use it! So, it's getting closer. Hoping to really have it done within the next two to four."

Mark, a systems engineer, said he has a few issues with his back so is hoping that once its fully operational he'll be able to relax in the hot tub.

Alongside fixing up his hot tub, Mark is also fixing up 1950's shuffle bowler arcade machine - these guys are absolutely sorted for lockdown, eh?
