Thanks to the multitude of annoying habits from drivers, road rage is just a fact of life. There's loads of things to turn you into a version of yourself that you're not particularly proud of - middle lane hoggers, people who drive at 50mph in the fast lane on the motorway, cars that were - it would seem - never fitted with indicators.

But nobody has gone down in road rage history quite like Hull's Ronnie Pickering. And now, to truly immortalise the legend forever, the viral sensation is getting his very own plaque in the city.

Commemorating the moment he went absolutely sick at a motorbike driver, who, to be fair, didn't really do anything wrong, the plaque will be Ronnie's legacy.

For anyone who doesn't remember, Ronnie is Hull's finest viral sensation. Shooting to fame back in 2015, he was filmed having a bizarre argument between him and another man. Of course it was captured on camera and made headlines all over the world.

Ronnie's well deserved plaque.

It sees Mr Pickering get pretty irate, shouting those famous words: "Do you know who I am? I'm Ronnie Pickering," at the cyclist.

The plaque was put up by Hull company Drunk Animal Creative Studio through their 'Alternative Heritage' plaque design. Their aim is to pay tribute 'living legends and stories that make our city special'. And Ronnie certainly did that.

There are multiple pieces of their 'art' spread around the city, meaning that if you want to learn about the real key players of Hull, you could take a bit of time out to learn more about what makes it such a unique place to be.

It's not all been fun and games for poor Ronnie though. After the video went viral, he was pretty well known on the city's pub scene.

Last year, he was minding his own business outside the city's Wawne Ferry pub, when in a completely unprovoked attack, a guy knocked him to the floor with one punch.

Being the trouper he is though, and in true Yorkshire style, Ronnie just got straight back up, went back in and carried on drinking.

Speaking of the incident, Ronnie said: "It's very strange. People will do anything to get hits on the Internet. It's possible this was a set-up."

Of his new-found celebrity status, he said: "A lot of people approach me wanting selfies taking with me, but I'm always polite and I always agree.

"You can't win. People think, 'Who does that bloke think he is?' but if I was rude to them they'd have a go at me for that, too."
