Greggs Launches PlayStation 5 Food Box Available For Delivery To Gamers

The bakery chain has joined forces with PlayStation to release a £5 share box

Greggs has joined forces with PlayStation to bring you a tasty sharing treat box for a fiver.

In case you missed it, the eagerly anticipated PlayStation 5 launched today (19 November), much to the delight of gamers.

And, to coincide with the release of the PS5, the Greggs & PlayStation Launch Box also arrives today and is available exclusively through Just Eat - meaning you don't even have to leave your beloved PS5 to get your hands on one.

What a time to be alive.

The Greggs & PlayStation Launch Box consists of an original sausage roll, a vegan sausage roll, a sugar strand doughnut, a vegan glazed ring doughnut and two cold drinks of your choice - all for £5. Not bad, eh?

Or, if prefer you can ask for a fully non-vegan or fully vegan version of the box.

In a statement, Greggs said: "It's game on for Greggs as they upgrade their delivery menu, announcing a tasty collaboration with PlayStation UK on the launch of the hotly anticipated PlayStation 5 (PS5).

"On a day that's all about launches, they bring you another essential release - the Greggs & PlayStation Launch Box.

"No. We aren't playing (other than on PS5, of course).

"The one-of-a-kind partnership sees two of the biggest and best-loved brands in the country come together, making play a whole lot tastier and celebrating a defining cultural moment (in a year to forget) with the launch of the coveted console of 2020."

There are just 50 limited edition boxes available in each Greggs shop that is currently offering delivery exclusively through Just Eat.

The boxes are available from today until 2 December - but be warned they are offered on a strictly first come, first served basis, so if you fancy one don't hang around.

Greggs customer and marketing director, Hannah Squirrell said: "Greggs and PlayStation are two beloved brands - both with an army of die-hard fans - so the two iconic brands coming together to celebrate the launch of PS5 makes complete sense.

"We've taken this cultural moment in time as an opportunity to give our shared brand fans the opportunity to get their hands on a piece (and a taste) of history.

"We hope the nation enjoys the deal and it gives them the fuel needed for a celebratory game on the incredible PS5."
